THE BEST BAKED MAC AND CHEESE
Ingredients:
16 oz macaroni
1 stick butter
1/3 cup gf flour
2.5 cups milk
2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp mustard powder
4 cups cheddar (I use mild)
2 cups Gruyère (mozzarella would work too)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Cook pasta until al dente and set aside.
I’m a Dutch oven or deep pan - melt stick of butter over low heat. Whisk in flour for about 1 min until dissolved. Slowly whisk in milk. Add mustard, onion and garlic powder. Stir in 3 cups cheddar and 1 cup Gruyère until melted. Add cooked noodles and stir to combine. Salt to taste (make sure we’ll seasoned!)
Put mac and cheese into a rectangular baking dish (or large oval). Top with remaining cheeses and bake 20-25 mins uncovered and enjoy!
