FAVE GLUTEN FREE SPOTS IN NYC
I recently got back from a weekend NYC trip with 3 of my 4 kids and my mom. While I came home needing a 48-hour nap, we had so much fun exploring all of the amazing sites NY has to offer. We also ate at so many fantastic spots. One of my kids has celiac disease and while navigating travel with a child with dietary restriction can be daunting, I was blown away by the variety and quality of gluten-free options available. Checkout my fave gluten-free cafes and restaurants we visited while we were in New York!
Nami Nori: Sushi Bliss in Soho
Our first gluten-free gem was Nami Nori, in the heart of Soho. While sushi might seem like a simple gluten-free option it’s actually one of the toughest – soya sauce, tempura, certain vinegars can all contain gluten and are often used in this cuisine. This sushi haven boasts 100% gluten-free offerings, making it a perfect option for our family. The specialty rolls were unreal, that even my pickiest eaters loved – and nothing seems “gluten free” about the menu.

WILD: Italian Indulgence
Next up was WILD, an Italian restaurant where gluten-free has no limits! From mozzarella sticks to calamari, every bite was better than the next. While the pizzas were a hit, the pasta alla vodka stole the show, leaving us stuffed and satisfied. A gluten-free dream for my kiddo!

Modern Bread and Bagel: Bagel Heaven
You know how you double toast your gluten-free bagel on high in the hopes that the crunch makes up for the texture? Modern Bread and Bagel throws those low expectations out the window. Their gluten-free bagels were nothing short of perfection, earning approval from everyone in the fam. The open-faced Avo and Lox bagel became a personal fave. Definitely on my list to visit again next time I’m in town! Even my non celiac kids said they were the best bagels they have ever had!

Posh Pop Bakeshop: Gluten-Free Wonderland
In the heart of Soho lies Posh Pop Bakery, a wonderland of gluten-free baked goods. My celiac kiddo is usually limited to the one or two gluten-free options available to him when we go out, but did he ever get to indulge here! The options were endless, but our favourites included deep-fried Oreos, apple cider donuts, cake pops, sweet pretzels, and pop tarts. The variety and quality of gluten-free treats made this bakery a must-visit for families looking for some fun sweets and treats.
